Summer Job Services

Summer Jobs Service provides students aged 15 to 24 with the opportunity to gain employment experience. Summer Jobs Service offers a variety of services to students, employers of students and educators. Career Edge Summer Jobs Consultants have been helping schools deliver up-to-date and accurate career planning information for over ten years.

Students can access the Career Edge Trenton Resource Centre year round, whether they are looking for a part time job or researching career opportunities. Is the Summer Jobs Service a point in the right direction for you? Register before this Summer with a Career Edge Employment Consultant!

Services to Students:

• Job search assistance
• Referral to potential employers who are looking for seasonal help
• Learn the skills required to obtain and maintain a job
• Year round resume and cover letter assistance
• Up-to-date job postings

Services to Employers:

Employers can post their jobs, receive referrals of suitable candidates for their jobs and in the summer months are eligible for a wage subsidy of $2.00 per hour for the students they hire.

• Posting job opportunities at no charge
• Referrals of suitable candidates who are seeking employment
• A wage subsidy during the summer months to offset the costs of hiring.

Services to Educators:

Educators can access the services of Career Edge Consultants on a year round basis to provide seminars on career related topics. The Consultant will design and deliver informational seminars on-site at community schools to meet your students’ needs. This service is in demand, so book early to ensure our Consultants availability!
