THE HASTINGS HOUSING RESOURCE CENTRE (HHRC)

The Hastings Housing Resource Centre helps low-income people 16 years of age and older to locate secure and maintain temporary and permanent housing. HHRC identifies local housing needs and provides assistance to people who are seeking information about available rental accommodation, housing programs, and literature regarding the Residential Tenancy Act. The Hastings Housing Resource Centre is a self-referral walk-in service.

Services Available:
  • Up-to-date listings of available housing (available at the office, by phone or on our website)
  • Housing education and counselling
  • Ongoing support to assist tenants to keep their housing
  • Referrals to landlords and other community resources
  • Mediation services between landlords and tenants
  • Follow-up services
  • Assistance when applying for non-profit housing in Hastings County.

The Hastings Housing Resource Centre has a website which allows tenants to access rental listings 24 hours a day. As well, landlords can list their available rental units at their own convenience. The site also includes emergency information and resources in Hastings County.
